Sampled at the brewery. Dark brown, ruby edges, foamy brown head. Aroma of coffee, malt, milk. Taste of dark roasted grains, with a coffee finish. Medium thin body, soft carbonation, some alcohol noticeable.

Picked up a growler from the brewery in Stevensville after a beautiful day on the Bitterroot. Pours black as night with a finger of smoky tan head that retains well. Aroma is roasted malts, some smoky/char notes. Taste is similar, some chocolate/coffee notes round it out. Nice body, highly drinkable, especially considering it packs a punch at 7%. cola brown and clear with a dr. pepper colored purple-tinted head. cocoa, chewy chocolate syrup and buzzing toastiness with light char is presented by a rich, frothy and semi-sweet malt body. smooth and resinous and fresh tasting throughout. a little heavy on the sweet chocolate syrup but otherwise delicious.
