American pale ale was created by California craft brewers in the early 1980’s. It has a medium body with wonderful floral and citrus aromas and flavor. This beer is aggressively Hopped; had noticeable bitterness with hints of grapefruit and pine, resulting from liberal dry hopping with American hops.

12 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a hazy copper color with a white head that dissipates at a moderate rate. The aroma has subtle pine and more abundant citrus rind and a balancing doughy character. Starts mildly bitter, but as I continue to sip, I get more juicy sweetness. Nicely balanced. Medium body and medium to high carbonation.

Fat @ Brewpub. Just som jag givit upp om bryggeriet kom jag till den här på min flight. Trevliga dofter av citrus, grapefrukt och gräs. Rena och fina smaker av citrus, persika, ananas och tall. Härlig beska väl underbyggd av maltsötma.

My hub picked up a 6 pack of this when we were in TN. Pours a warm golden color with a touch of haze. Ok aroma. A little orange-rind flavor, nice aftertaste. I like it!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at the brewery. Small bright white head. Not much aroma, I really can’t note anything specifically. Copper in color. Mild carbonation. Tastes pretty good, mild hop with some resin. Not much nuance. Palate is fine.

Keg at the brewpub, Nashville, 15/02/15. Clear golden with a decent off white covering that retains well, good lacing ensues. Nose is juicy citrics, melon, tangerine, hoppy notes. Taste comprises floral hop notes, pine, melon, tangerine, citric pith. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough APA with a floral hop resonance.

12oz bottle - Received via trade with bluesandbarbq (thank you!). Sunday night, watching Steelers vs Broncos, week #1. A nice beer. Reminds me a lot of a local beer called Hops of Wrath. Nose is pretty weak, with barely any noticeable hop profile and a soapy profile. Not much head retention, but body is a clear golden body, small off-white head. Flavor is easily the best quality of the beer, with a blast of grassy/grapefruity hops. Kinda ragged though, but still nice. Not much malt backbone so perhaps that’s why it’s a little ragged. Mouthfeel is a little puckery/aspirin-like, which wasn’t something I would highlight. All in all, a nice APA with a focus on hops, which I appreciate.
