12 oz bottle courtesy of Suttree. August 2013 Week 1 notched on the side of the label. The pour is a clear golden copper orange with a crackling ½ inch off white head. The aroma is soft citrus peel, along with a bit of floral and some slightly sweet malt. The taste is the softly bitter citrus / orange peel, followed close behind by floral grass, and finishing with a husky cracker malt that carries the finish, getting a tad earthy mineral in the long finish. The palate is light to medium bodied, dry mineral finish. Nice Pale Ale, thanks for sending this my way Phil.

12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of a good amount of citrusy and floral hops plus a decent amount of pale malts. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Average texture. For the style, it’s a pretty good beer.

Clear golden amber with a long-lasting 1/4" white head and swirls and dots of lace. Taste is caramel malt that stakes out a spot only to give way to enough pine hops to bring things beyond a balance. All seems uneven until the last bits of the finish, when the malt reappears for an encore. Good stuff.

On tap at Mellow Mushroom during Memphis beer week. Hazy golden color. Aroma is hoppy, some citrus. Taste is hoppy bitter, more than expected with an APA.

Orange haze with huge white head. Aroma and fast funky citrus. Not a great beer. Not a bad beer.

Aroma is not as strong as I’d like with some funk and some citrus. Taste is extremely well balanced with bitterness, hop flavor and a restrained malt backbone. I just wish the hop selection was different.

12oz bottle. Gushed over as soon as the cap came off - had been in the fridge for several days, so I have no idea why that would happen. Obviously huge pillowy head of tight white bubbles on top of a light yellow-amber color. Aroma is lightly toasty and piney hops. So easy to drink that I was almost done drinking it before I considered taking notes. Nothing exemplary, but certainly good enough to guzzle.

12oz bottle. Slightly hazy orange with a faint white head. I think I let this one sit a little too long as the hops are barely present, more slightly roasted malts, grainy and not much else. Moderate carbonation, mild body, slightly sweet, becomes a bit dry and a hint of bitterness on the finish. Need to try this fresher.

Sampled at GABF. Mild pale flavor. Caramel in the taste and body. Ok overall for an APA.
