American pale ale was created by California craft brewers in the early 1980ís. It has a medium body with wonderful floral and citrus aromas and flavor. This beer is aggressively Hopped; had noticeable bitterness with hints of grapefruit and pine, resulting from liberal dry hopping with American hops.

12oz bottle - Received via trade with bluesandbarbq (thank you!). Sunday night, watching Steelers vs Broncos, week #1. A nice beer. Reminds me a lot of a local beer called Hops of Wrath. Nose is pretty weak, with barely any noticeable hop profile and a soapy profile. Not much head retention, but body is a clear golden body, small off-white head. Flavor is easily the best quality of the beer, with a blast of grassy/grapefruity hops. Kinda ragged though, but still nice. Not much malt backbone so perhaps thatís why itís a little ragged. Mouthfeel is a little puckery/aspirin-like, which wasnít something I would highlight. All in all, a nice APA with a focus on hops, which I appreciate.

Draft at brewery. The color is a rich orange. The aroma is a nice sweet hops. The taste is almost more watered down hops. Hops are more in the aroma than the taste which is disappointing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle poured a clear golden amber with a small lasting off white head. Aromas of bread, orange, pink grapefruit and light earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bread, earthiness and light citrus with a smooth lingering bitter finish.

I like this APA! Pours a light ambeer color, nice head that stays the whole beer, white and lacy. Clear with good carbonation. Good hoppy nose. Great taste with just spot on hoppiness! Great mouth feel. Nice aftertaste. I could make this a sesion beer if I could get it in NC!!!

Light hops but a little too boozy for me. Pours orange with OK head and lacing. Light bitter finish. Bottle thanks to Travlr.

355 ml bottle 5.3% abv. bitter taste with some carbonation and noticeable dryness. Not as hoppy as one could have hoped for. Good but not great.

Bottle sample at RBWG. Pours a clear golden amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have resiny, light citrus, a hint of cleaning solution, mild floral notes, pale malts with a splash of caramel. Low end of average.

Look: pours a clear golden color. Nice thick head, hangs around a while Smell: slight bitterness aroma Taste: heavy malt flavor. Slight hops flavor to it, but not very strong. Feel: not heavy at all. Almost feels like a bud light or pbr. Overall: not a very hoppy APA. I was hoping to get more hops on either the nose or the taste. First drank: home 5/5/14
