A Belgian dark strong ale, this beer represents one of the most highly regarded beer styles of the world. The combination of eight different malts offers a rich sweet profile, cane sugar in the kettle boosts the alcohol and rounds out the sweetness. The use of authentic Belgian yeast creates an aroma of dark fruits followed by a smooth spicy note. Originally brewed for our 15th anniversary (3 years ago) and brought back by many requests

On tap at the brewery. One of their special reserve versions. Small chalice. Key black oily pour with a small circle of head. Arima is lightly burnt chocolate. Flavor is mild chocolate with char and sour notes. Enjoyable. Obvious Belgian yeast. Kudos for trying the style.
