4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasted on 7/22/14 from a 32oz growler picked up at the brewpub earlier in the day. Pours completely opaque dark cola brown with a thin, but slow-forming brown head that leaves very thin lace. The nose is a really nice blend of milk chocolate, toasted cocoa nibs, plenty of maple and toffee bourbon, vanilla oak, a touch of char, and just a hint of tart cherry. The flavor is about the same with the milk chocolate, vanilla oak, and maple/toffee dominant, and the nib bitterness and cherries very faint in the background. The body is full with just under, but perfect carbonation for the style, and a long vanilla, toffee and maple bourbon, and the tart cherry really starting to shine, finish. Very nice!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler @ casa de Greg. Thanks to &y for sending! Deep brown, slightly hazy appearance with a light brown head. Slightly boozy, a bit oxidized, chocolate oatmeal aroma with some bourbon and fruits. Nice body. Not too thick. Granola, rich chocolate, caramel, a bit boozy flavor. Kind of çhïll beer.
