Pours a rich amber color with a medium beige head and thin lacing. Floral hops and malt aroma. Medium bodied with an interesting hops and berry flavor. I'm not sure if this an Americanized ESB or what, but I liked it. Finish is rich and nicely malty.

Cask at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a thick creamy white head. Aroma of sweet and bready malts. Flavor is certainly malt forward- crackery, bready, slight fruit and floral notes. Mild bitterness in the finish. Ok, drinkable, but not very complex.

Draft. Pours a deep reddish amber with a medium-sized off-white head. Aroma is spicy, floral, grassy hops and caramel malt. Flavor is spicy/bitter and caramel. Slightly astringent mouthfeel. Tasty and drinkable.

Pours a deep copper color with a tan head. Aroma is caramel, toast, floral, and slight grassy hop notes. Flavor is malty, caramel, some biscuit, and a bitter grassy, almost astringent, hop finish.

Sampled at Schlafly Repeal of Prohibition festival. Pours copper with a soapy tan head. The aroma has sweet toasty malt, nuttiness and overall clean smoothness. Medium crisp body with light carbonation. The flavor starts like the aroma, but is a bit metallic and medicinal. The finis is very minerally and a touch sour.

2009 Tap. A lower end amber ale. Surprising amounts of hoppiness that clash with the malts that typically predominate amber ales. Aroma of strong hops with a light maltiness. Dark orange-brown with not much head. Not that great.
