Beautiful red color. Great floral hop aroma. A little more than is usually expected in a "Red Ale." In a city that is generally lacking in acceptable micro brews, this one stands far above the rest. Great restaurant and a great beer! BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Jul 31, 2008 Rich, malty and reddish amber in coloring with a lovely off white head. Fresh, fruity hop nose, with some flowery honey notes as well. This is a great bitter defenitely made in a British tradition with an American hop twist. Smooth with a balanced mouthfeel and a dry, crisp finish. This one covers all the style bases, a definite home run. kevd193213 (350), Coventry, Rhode Island, USA May 29, 2008 Draught at the tavern. Dark reddish amber pour with decent sized medium head. Aroma of malt and hops. Taste of flowery hops and malt with a sweet finish.
