Had this in both the draft and cask versions. Dark brown/black pour..smallish tan head. Big roasty nose...choco-malt and coffee too. Flavor is roastier...medium bodied...started out tasty and just got better as is warmed. Light hop bitterness in the end...a very nice porter rendition.

Nov 17, 2008 Dark mahogany pour with a ring of dark tan head. Sweet malt aroma. Flavors of coffee, toffee, and some nuttiness. Medium chewy body with a tart chalk finish.

Oct 31, 2008 GABF 2008. Deep copper brown. Nice aromas of cocoa and clay. Rich chocolate flavour with perfectly nuanced notes of roast, prunes, and mild earthy bitterness. Silky mouthfeel, medium bodied. An excellent porter indeed.

Oct 20, 2008 Cask at the pub. Poured a dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of caramel and roasted malt. Flavor was roasted malt and coffee. Medium/full body with soft carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel.

Clear orange brown coloured with a medium sized beige head.
Fruity aroma of caramel and hay with roasted notes.
Sweet and roasted flavour of oat, coffee and hops.
Roasted finish.

Oct 13, 2008 Sampled at the 12th Annual Knoxville Brewer’s Jam. Ruby brown pour with an eggshell head that lasts as a cover. The color threw me off but I see they say its a brown porter. Very sweet candied fruits and chocolate. Slightly bitter with more sweetness in the finish. Very little roasted malt for a porter.
