SubstanceT (1087), Saint Louis, Missouri, USA Jun 20, 2007 Rating 1061, On tap at the brewery in Nashville TN. Heavy ruby clear. No head but great brown lacing. Nose is thin and malty. Taste is strong malts, oatmeal and chocolate. For the style this is very good. However, I really dislike the style hence my lower than average rating.

Clear orange brown coloured with a medium sized beige head.
Fruity aroma of caramel and hay with roasted notes.
Sweet and roasted flavour of oat, coffee and hops.
Roasted finish. lithy (385), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Oct 13, 2008 Sampled at the 12th Annual Knoxville Brewer’s Jam. Ruby brown pour with an eggshell head that lasts as a cover. The color threw me off but I see they say its a brown porter. Very sweet candied fruits and chocolate. Slightly bitter with more sweetness in the finish. Very little roasted malt for a porter.
