An excellent porter indeed. nqualls (573), Tennessee, USA Oct 20, 2008 Cask at the pub. Poured a dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of caramel and roasted malt. Flavor was roasted malt and coffee. Medium/full body with soft carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. joergen (6814), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 18, 2008 Draught at GABF 2008.
Clear orange brown coloured with a medium sized beige head.
Fruity aroma of caramel and hay with roasted notes.
Sweet and roasted flavour of oat, coffee and hops.
Roasted finish. lithy (385), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Oct 13, 2008 Sampled at the 12th Annual Knoxville Brewer’s Jam. Ruby brown pour with an eggshell head that lasts as a cover. The color threw me off but I see they say its a brown porter. Very sweet candied fruits and chocolate. Slightly bitter with more sweetness in the finish. Very little roasted malt for a porter.
