tronraner (1366), (Louis-, Sevier-, Knox-)ville, Tennessee, USA Dec 17, 2005 Updated: Sep 7, 2007Draught. Pours dark mahogany with thin off-white head. The aroma is caramel with general malty sweetness in the background and some aromatic hops. The flavor is kind of hoppy, but not as rich as I was hoping. I could easily drink a few of these, but I guess I was expecting something more. NachlamSie (1304), Tennessee, USA Dec 16, 2005 draught. Pours a deep, dark red with a flimsy white head. Fruity, chalky, spicy nose with a bit of raspberry. The flavor is pretty similar: hints of raspberry and an odd hoppiness. The malts are a bit weak for a brown but suggest dark chocolate. This is a pretty unique brown ale.
