(22oz bottle, #144/500, courtesy of AmEricanbrew) clear rich orange-brown with nice lace. Nose of sweet caramel, graham cracker, vanilla, and brown sugar. Taste of cream, vanilla, cracker, brown sugar. Creamy oily body with decent linger.

Bottle from a trade with Rustyham. Bottle #90/500. Pours dark brown color with tan head. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate and toffee. Sweet chocolate and roasted malt flavors with some dark fruits. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation. Thanks Nick.

(22oz bottle, #144/500, courtesy of AmEricanbrew) Pours a clear amber body with a small beige head. Aroma of smoke, caramel, roasted malt, and brown sugar. Flavor of roasted malt, raisins, nuts, dates, light banana, and some chocolate.

Thanks to AmericanBrew for sharing this beer. Bottle number 144 of 500. The beer pours a dark brown color with red highlights and a tan head. The aroma is toffee, chocolate and some roasted malt. The flavor is that of your basic porter. I get some chocolate and roasted malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. I like this beer, but I am disappointed that I didn’t get more Belgian character out of it. It tasted like a basic American Porter to me, not a beer with trappist yeast and turbinato sugar added.

Bottle. Clear ruby garnet color/ tan head. Nutty, caramel, medium roast malt aromas. medium bodied. Nice caramel, nutty, roasty flavors with some spicy pit fruit.

A brown red pour with tan head and lace. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, and light sour malt. Sweet roasted malt, burnt coffee, and sour malt flavor. Medium bodied and a bit fizzy.

22oz bottle @PreJam Gathering-pours a light brown head and dark brown color. Aroma is sweet dark malt-licorice. Taste is sweet dark malt-licorice, secondary earthy hops.

Very dark red, almost black. Smells like sweet chocolate and banana, plus maybe some vanilla. Flavor i also chocolate covered banana, as well. Tasty stuff. Sampled at 2010 pre-Brewer’s Jam tasting.

Red-brown, beige cover. Aroma is sugary, some alcohol, chocolate, cocoa, fruity. Taste is sweet, chocolate, caramel, smoother, more like the amped up St. Charles that I expected.
