micker (31), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Jul 12, 2006 ONe of only two ciders available at the LCBO. No Growers doesn’t count. A smooth tasting drink, definately better than it’s only competition Strongbow. Slightley sweeter than strongbow with less alcohol taste dispite being stronger in alcohol. To bad Magners is no longer sold at the LCBO as it was much better than this
GodOfThunder (142), Orlando, Florida, USA Dec 1, 2008 On draft at Redlight. Not a strong apple scent and slightly metallic. Taste is of apples, but not overly sweet. Very dry. daknole (1122), Plantation, Florida, USA Nov 27, 2008 Man this stuff is harsh. Yellow pour, not much of a head. Aroma is some nasty apples and flavor is just awful. Old apple vinegar mixed with sparkling wine? Barf. BMan1113VR (1150), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Nov 21, 2008 Pours with a clear yellow body, no head. A slight haze. Aroma of sulfur, cardboard, and vinegar. Taste is vinegar with a hint of dry apples. Lightish carbonation, water like to dry mouthfeel. Not a great cider. Could have sworn that I rated this before I had it again tonight... Gypsy19 (252), AMERICA RISING, USA Oct 18, 2008 Wow, this stuff is awful. Tastes exactly as the last rater put it: Cheap, cheap champagne. I can’t really elaborate on that except this: Take perfectly good apple juice, add half a shot of Safeway Select vodka and a splash of lemon juice, and here’s what you get. No wonder it’s only $4 a quart. Bunk. rugbydude05 (193), Kew Gardens, New York, USA Aug 23, 2008 Draft, NYC, Looks, smells, and tastes like a cheap champagne. Very little sweet aroma, taste is rather bitter and too dry, and palate is harsh. It was a hassle getting this pint down.
