Probably my favorite draught english cider. Its pretty good from a bottle but better on draft. Good balance of sweet and dry.

Let me get this out of the way...I AM A STRONGBOW DRINKER. As a change of pace, the bar I frequent brought Blackthorn in instead of Strongbow. WOW! There is so much more flavour- so much more...everything! This makes Strongbow seem like Blackthorn Light. It is, I must admit, a great deal sweeter, which I don't enjoy, but it's worth the trade in aroma, body and taste. Don't be afraid of the lack of bubbles either- but insist on a chilled glass- Enjoy!

for even a beer drinker.. this cider would be even be palatable for the everyday beer drinker. with a smooth finish... a cider to bring to a bbq and not feel like a pansy..

This is a HARD Cider. I enjoy my trips back to UK but it does take a couple of days to recover from it's effects !

UPDATED: AUG 6, 2003 Wow....this is now my favorite cider. I tried this one recently for the first time and was blown away. I tried it in the bottle and would love to try in on draft. An incredibly carbonated, slightly champagne like feel, but a wine like aftertaste.

I come from Cider country in SW England, and I can tell you this is a great Cider. Sweet Ciders are terrible and people don’t drink very much of them. The Dry Ciders are the best, and Blackthorn " Rocket Fuel" is one of the bigger and better names. There are more and more Ciders on the market, but most are only available in the UK.
