leaparsons (4001), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Feb 1, 2006 Cask, Burton Winter Fest (badged as Salopian). Golden with no head. Aromas are sweet citrus with spicy hops. Flavours are light caramel malts with lemon. Some metal. Very dry and quite bitter on the finish. Overall a bit too soft in character. Daniel_Brown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England Jul 30, 2005 Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Really a quite odd beer. Lots of stuff going on, but to what end? - I never did establish this. Cloudy gold colouring with a persistent, but soft and smooth head. Prickly, mint aroma. Mouthfeel seems icey and the flavour is nettles, powder, perfume and hops - the latter of which undulate between sweet and peppery. Drinkable and refreshing. Enigmatic to be sure.
