COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Special - June 2010.
NOTE: This is not the same beer as the Salopian Ska brewed as a monthly special in 2011 (which uses American hops).
A Special ale brewed with New Zealand hops, crisp and vibrant with powerful citrus flavours that beat over a long fruity finish.

A Mes rate. Cask at the Rake.
Perfectly clean pale gold with a good white head. Brilliant bright, crisp citric hoppage with a equally great earthy malt backbone. Superb bitterness, slight mineral note but not in a bad way. Juicy yet dry, great balance. Straight forward but really good all round.

A very descent citrusy aroma. Pale yellow in complexion. Descent appearance. Good amount of head. Tastes of citrus; great hops and really good dry levels. Bitterness is very agreeable. This is a hell of a find. The crisp dry finish is very dominant on the palate. Would like to thank Mario for telling me to have this and for Chris O for buying me a half. Just a shame it doesn’t keep fresh for too long. This is one awesome English sesison ale. BOTTLE IT. NOW. Thanks to Mes to rating it so I could find it. I had no idea what it was other than Ska. On tap at the Rake.

Cask at 5th English Rose Beer Festival, Luton, Bedfordshire. Bright copper gold. Leafy citric hop aroma with a distinctive seaside tang. I found the taste less impressive: a slightly disturbing metallic quality led into the bitter finish. I find myself less impressed by New Zealand hops than many other people.
