Cask (handpump) @ The New Oxford, 11 Bexley Sq, Salford, Manchester, England M3 6DB.

Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, molasses, toffee, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100425]

Cask @ The Duchess of Cambridge. The appearance is deep hazy orange with a small white head. The nose is tobacco (again), light berries and orange. The taste is toasty grains, more tobacco, light cherries and ash. Slightly yeasty. Acidic. Overall, ok, but nothing to get excited about.

Handpump, Peter Kavanagh’s, Liverpool. Not so much bronze as a burnished gold. Malty flavours, carbonation is soft, slightly slick mouthfeel.

Cask Handpump at the New Oxford, Salford 25/04/2010 Some diacetyl aroma. Bronze coloured and fruity with a hint of bitterness in a slight roast malt finish.
