Cask, Bree Louise, Euston. Amber colour with a very thin off white head. Berry fruit and citrus hop aroma. More juicy fruit and hop in the flavour which was pretty well balanced. Dry lingering bitter finish. Solid, if unremarkable.

Cask conditioned at The Old Joint Stock, Birmingham. Gold to amber with slight head. Beer full of caramel adjunct, like a crack filled with Pollyfilla. Powdery and a little chalky a bit of a mish mash of flavours. On the poor side, as was the service in this pub.

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2007 1. Cask Stillage from the cellar at the Ship & Mitre, Liverpool 21/04/2006 Fruity aroma. Golden coloured and hoppy with some fruit flavour. Dry slightly bitter finish. 2. Cask Handpump from the Upstairs Bar at the Ship & Mitre, Liverpool 29/04/2007 Some fruit aroma. Amber coloured fruity and sour with a little bitterness in a crisp malt finish.
