Bottle shared at Paul’s B-Day Beer gathering, CPK, London. Pours hazy gold with a big, fluffy white head. Nose is impressively light, restrained and airy, with notes of peaches, apricot and wheat. Has a surprisingly nice flavor with some wheat notes, light apricots and some mild grassy bitterness. Light to medium bodied with high carbonation. Mild dryness to finish, some wheat, grassy hops, apricot and lemon. Highly reminiscent of a saison, and quite good for a UK saison at that. I know this is a very rare beer and most people won’t get to try it; to these folks, I’m sorry.

Bottle, thanks to Leighton - I can always count on you to bring along an English Strong Ale! It pours golden yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is farmyard, leaf, lime and juicy citrus. The taste is orange, peach, apricot, lime, resin, dough, grass and leaf, with a dry finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and velvety mouth-feel. Surprisingly good.

Whale watch! Wow, thanks Leighton for unearthing this gem from god knows where. Pours deep amber with a medium white head. The nose is peach, light orchard fruits, watery fruit squash and flowers. The taste is spun sugar, light lemon and dust. Quite saison like indeed. Light peaches and golden grass. Medium body, a bit of heat on the finish suggests the abv. Overall, a pretty pleasant beer.
