Golden colour in appearance, taste is light and refreshing, a good example of the style, I had about 3 pints of this

Gravity, Hinckley 2011, 16/09/11. Burnished orange-gold with a slight haze and good lacing white head. Aroma: light piney resins, orange flesh, lemon barley. Again, great thick Rich Tea malts and smoked cashew paired with parsley citrus, orange barley. Those malts are really fresh and husky: excellent. Bitter linger. English hefe with rauch and added hops? The icing sugar left at the bottom of a box of Turkish delight. Odd but I like it.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Pale gold with a white head. Creamy, buttery aroma. Sweet, hairy malt taste with more butter. Even though I sometimes enjoy a touch of diacetyl, this one didn’t work for me.

Cask at the Market Porter. Pale yellow pour with a fine, white head. Malty aroma with light hay. Sweet flavor with some bread, faint honey and caramel. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with hay and earth bitterness, along with mild bread notes. Nice, typical golden ale.

Cask - The Market Porter, London. A clear, dark yellow beer with a bubbly-creamy whiteish head with moderate retention and heavy lacing. Some apple on the nose with citrus and a pale malt sweetness. A good citrus body on the tongue, some candy apple at the back & a yeasty tone. An OK length to the finish. Soft mouthfeel & light to medium in body. There’s enough going on in theory but it all feels too restrained.

wyzzywyz22 (1525) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - MAR 19, 2010
Cask, Ship and Victory, Chester. Clear gold with a medium white head. Biscuity malts and some vague citrus in the nose. Hops not really shining here and a slight metallic tang lurking also. Lingering bitter finish. Average at best.

Cask handpull at Peter Kavanagh’s, Liverpool. Badged as Blakemere. Slightly sweaty sox on the hop but decent golden ale, fullish in mouth. Hops are ok if a bit muted. Pale malts are fullish. OK.
