A Mes rate: cask at the New Oxford. Orange gold with a slight white collar. Sweet pukey earthy malt. A little underbrewed it seems. Faint fruity hops don’t really do enough to save it. Grainy finish. Not great.

Sherry-like aroma with butterscotch malt and slightly fruity hops. Almost clear orange-amber with no top. Dry, smoky flavour with moderate to medium bitterness, slight fruit and some peat smoke. Quaffable. Moderately bitter finish, low carbonation, light body.

Pours a nice golden colour with a small, frothy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, some toasted caramel and light butter. A bit hinish mouthfeel, low carbonation. Flavour has toasted caramel, light milky chocolate and a slight roasted notes. Fine and drinkable with a little twist.
