2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 chriso (7063) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 13, 2006
Cask (gravity dispense) at London Drinker Beer Festival, March 2006. Golden colour. The aroma is laden with diacetyl and clammy hops. Thin mouthfeel, with some lemon. Nondescript stuff, although I thought the condition was probably dodgy. Others who tried it at the same time seem to have found it OK, so I’m not sure.

Fruity aroma. Clear golden coloured hoppy and fruity pear flavour with a bitter slightly creamy sweet finish.

Cask (London Drinker 06): Some mild fruity malts, along with a suprising yeasty note. Golden, flat apperance. Drinkable, but not great.

Cask@London Drinker. A below average golden ale, with some sweetish pale malt characters, and lightly citrusy hops. Too watery in the finish thouogh, short flavour.

London Drinker. Golden ale. Slightly hoppy, floral, fruity. Citric. Quite mildly flavoured. OK but not a great example of the style.
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 harrisoni (10070) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - APR 8, 2006
Cask gravity at London Drinker 2006. Golden, thin white head. Diacetyl all over this. Really thin and horrible. Probably not served at its best given Dan’s previous rating.

Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Yellow colour. Blisteringly citrus, sour and dry. Very long finish. Very aggressive on the tongue, but a smooth mouthfeel. Pretty flat and oily, but a good beer.
