COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blanche De Brooklyn, a traditional Belgian-style white beer, or biere blanche, is named after its striking pale color. Blanche de Brooklyn, formerly a seasonal product, is now available year-round. White beers are made with a traditional dose of coriander seed and Curacao orange peel added during the boil for extra snappy flavor. Brewmaster Garrett Oliver also adds his own secret selection of spices of Blanche de Brooklyn.

Location: On tap at the Brewery, 7/18/09, I think I may have had this before, can’t remember.

Aroma: Orange, lemon, coriander, banana, wheat
Appearance: Nice cloudy yellow typical look for a Belgian White
Flavor: Citrus-Fruity and sweet, light spiciness, solid flavor
Palate: Light to medium body, easily drinkable, a bit of creaminess, smooth
Overall Impression: Nice, solid brew. Not a lot of extra information to say about this one.
While I’m here, I will say the brewery was a cool place to grab a drink on a Saturday afternoon, and was particularly packed full of people enjoying 3PM beers.

My favorite of the three I tried at Citi Field, this one was available at the Frites stand under the name Blanche de Queens. Light golden/blonde in color, slightly hazy. Medium head. Aroma of citrus, some spice, mild yeast, a touch of bubblegum. Taste is citrus, a good deal of wheat, some spice, and a nice belgian yeast character. This was a very dry beer, the yeast and citrus did give it a nice light perceived sweetness. Finishes with lingering spice, and some lingering bready/earthy yeast. Body was light, very easy drinking.

It’s only available via plastic cup at Citi Field. <a href="http://www.ceetar.com/optimisticmetsfan De Queens It was excellent still, given that. Great taste, not too heavy, appropriate for a ballpark.

Draught: Aroma of yeast, bread dough, and mild spices. Poured yellow/flaxen in color with a small white head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Opaque. Sparkling. Very good lacing. Tasted of fruit, spices, blueberry, wheat, and light bubblegum. Medium body. Dry, tingly texture. Average carbonation. Dry, yeasty finish.
