iamqueensblvd (60), , Iowa, USA Jul 4, 2009 Cloudy yellow pour with light white head that quickly disappears. Citrus notes are the overwhelming note in the aroma, taste and palate. Nothing really special here...just a very drinkable beer. estpiwo (329), Estonia Jun 30, 2009 Pale yellow color with nice white head. Fruity aroma. Every time you can feel different taste, different spices. Also can feel yeast. Nice finish. Good! DeanF (72), Paris, France Jun 28, 2009 Pours with a crazy head, even into a chalice, Though it’s a nice bright yellow. Aromas of citrus, a little bitterness. Need to wait for the head to settle down to actually take a sip.
Nice mouthfeel, some tastes of wheat, citrus, a slight hint of detergent in there too. Some other spices that make the taste almost....festive. I guess it’s alright, it’s almost like drinking perfume though. ChristianScheffel (3013), Odense, Denmark Jun 25, 2009 Hazy pale yellow with a lasting white head. Aroma has fruity orange, wheat and a hint of spice. Dry and grainy wheat flavour with orange and spices mostly in the finish. An alright wit, but nothing special. madquacker (629), Canberra ACT, Australia Jun 25, 2009 Nice cloudy appearance and great head. Citrus and abit of underlying wheat. low ABV is quite disguised. Pinball (2068), Allerød, Denmark Jun 15, 2009 25cl bottle from den belgiske ølbutik, helsinge.
cloudy yellow, small thick smooth white head.
very nice spicy, citrussy, slight peachy refreshing aroma, also some sweetness in there (powdered sugar).
flavor is quite dry, a bit yeasty, peachy, slight citrus, slight spices, stronger coriander note.
palate is well carbonated, a little too bubbly i think.
overall a nice dry one, but a little too sweet and skunky, as well as a little too agressively carbonated/ too bubbly. mickmac (37), Ngunnawal, Australia May 30, 2009 Pours with a large white frothy lasting head and a cloudy straw yellow colour. Coriander and orange peel and floral notes evident in the taste. Carbonation gives a pleasant mouthfeel. Delightful. JanVittrup (72), København V, Denmark May 29, 2009 Updated: Jun 9, 2009Fruity aroma, lovely whitey/yellow colour, fine head.
More bitter than Hoegarden, orangy, fruity.
Refreshing palate, sparkling, thin.
Great beer. Wife still prefers Hoegarden for refreshment, since Namur is a more complex beer, with a little more bitterness.
