Citric sourness in the taste with a wheaty background. A little soapy dryness. Didn’t get on too well with this. Perhaps wits need a summer evening... Slayer85 (584), Firenze, Italy
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 3, 2007 750 ml bottle. A very cloudy and pale blonde beer with a big and persistent white head. Near soapy lemon aroma with spicy touches of coriander and orange peel. The flavour has wheaty, yeasty and spicy notes (again orange, lemon and coriander). Perhaps less picy than expected after the aroma. It has a nice refreshing tartness, but maybe the body is too thin. Well carbonated with short/medium aftertaste and light bitterness. At least thirst quenching. armando629 (975), Budapest, Hungary
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 2, 2007 Drink it very cold! It has a cloudy look when you drink it between 2 and 4 Celsius degree. The beer is very characteristic with the citrus and coriander flavour, whit the lactic acid and the fine yeast in the bottle. If you can get this beer in magnum style(1,5 L), lets buy that one!!! badinplaid (103), USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 28, 2007 A decent summer wit biere. Pours cloudy blonde, citrus undertones, great warm weather brew. Drink4Satan (585), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 16, 2007 Pours a hazy straw-colour with a fizzy, thick white head that retains well. The body is insanely effervesent, it just doesn’t die. The aroma is mostly lemon citrus, mild corriander with some yogurt-like lactic acidity. The flavour has everything you could want from a witbier. Orange citrus, aromatic spice, tart fruit, bubblegum yeast and again, that lactic acid, which I feel adds depth, not a distraction. The aftertaste is a bit grainy, or is that cardboard? The mouthfeel is a little thin, but it’s a wit, so it should be. Tingly carbonation. Glouglouburp (2811), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 16, 2007 In short: Average witbier going in the too-clean lemonade direction
How: Bottle 750ml drank relatively fresh a few months back (backlog)
The look: Cloudy straw-yellow body with a small and quickly disappearing white head.
In long: Hay and straw. Lemon skin. Slightly watery with soft drink carbonation. Lemon skin flavour with a light bubblegum yeast presence. A little annoying flavour resembling paper. Salty and tart. Not much in the way of usual witbier spices such as coriander. Too light and too clean to amount to anything. Nothing bad really but this beer will stick to my memory like a post-it on an ice-cube. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 7, 2007 I love Belgians (the people as well as the brew). White beers are my LEAST favorite however. Still better than 75% of white beers in the states. Nose of spice and citrus fruit. Jerre (1755), Waregem, Belgium
