Commercial Description:
Blond, cloudy, milky (colloïdal by cold). The cloudy appearance is created at low temperature but disappears when the beer gets warmer or when it is kept too long in the cold. Fine fruity with a scent of the used spice, coriander and bitter orange. Smooth beer, thirst-quenching but mild, slightly acidulous, powdery consistency on the tongue, not bitter

(Draught at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 11 Aug 2007) Pale yellow colour, cloudy, with brief white head. Fruity, slightly tart nose with notes of lemon, plums, green apples and orange peel. Fruity, slightly sourish taste with yellow plums, lemon, wheat-flour dough and a short, spicy finish. Some sweetness throughout. Decent witbier, not the best, but very drinkable and thirst quenching.

The hue is quite cloudy and a deep yellow like the flesh of a peach. Enormous, creamy and white, the head slowly settles down to a small cap over the beer. Coriander and bitter orange peel are both very strong in the aroma, in a way that I almost get an aroma of sunscreen out of it. And orange creamsicle! Crisp wheat and sour lemon drops wrap the experience up. Fruity Pebbles sweet initial flavour gives way to a lemon sourness in the finish. A little bit of the creamsicle comes across as well, but mostly the flavour is quit mild and much less sour than I thought it would be from the aroma. Hm, sort of a ginger flavour as it warms. There’s a light astringency, as well. Medium to light bodied, with a slick texture and moderate carbonation. More sourness and carbonation, and I’d be sold. 33cl bottle, Duvel tulip, bbe 19/08/08.

Pours a cloudy straw/hay color with a dissipating white head. Wonderfully pungent aroma features cloves, a funky cheese/bread dough mix and strong lemon and orange. A bit of a bitter spice to it too (coriander?). Tastes stings a bit at first, but there are some wheat and dough flavors, tons of lemon and peppery coriander flavor. Finishes dry and kinda "old" tasting in a way. Very flavorful. High carbonation and light mouthfeel, but I wouldn’t call this beer lacking in any department. A solid witbier which I might have more often if it weren’t a high priced import.

Great fluffy white head. Refreshing and full with a bready/ banana Belgian yeast flavor. I keep going back to it.

[Sampled in feb. 2005.] Boring look almost grey, but the aroma is better and it points to that this beer is better than the first impression. A witbier with sournotes of citrus and grapes is the best description of this beer. A thirstquencher, but also the best to danish koldskål. Very speciel. Like it or not!

25 cl bottle: Pours with a hazy, pale golden colour and a tiny, white, fluffy head. Lovely aroma of banana and other fruits. Flavour of citrus fruits. Sweet/ sour finish. Light bodied. A fresh and pleasant beer.

750 ml bottle from Holiday Wine Cellar. Slightly sour citrus and spice aroma. Slight orange taste with a spicy, ginger like quality. Decent overall.
