ska (125), Italy Sep 24, 2009 33cl bottle, pale yellow colour, huge collapsing white head, fresh lime aroma with wheat and coriander notes, light citrus sweet flavor, light (but not watery) body, not interesting finish with some coriander aftertaste
(translating this rate from english to italian with google is a mystical experience, it say: "the light of sweet citrus") rosenbergh (843), Helsinki, Finland Sep 12, 2009 Draught at Café de Baron, Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Hazy yellow colour with white head. Wheat, citrus, coriander and spices in aroma. Fresh citrus/lemon flavour with wheat. Quite light though. beachbum25 (778), Powellville, Maryland, USA Sep 5, 2009 750 ML Bottle-Cloudy yellow color w/a slight white head. Spiced wheat aroma. Flavors of wheat, citrus & spice. A lot drier than many Witbiers, but very refreshing, light & easy to drink. Had some carbonation to it. Solid brew, not spectacular...but solid Ron (1000), Rochester, New York, USA Aug 28, 2009 I wanted a decent Witbier on my 50th birthday, so I grabed this out of my beer cellar. It poured a beautiful hazy yellow color with a thick creamy white head. Aroma of citrus and wheat. Flavor is lots of citrus, wheat and some coriander. Soft mouthfeel. A little tart, but a very refreshing Witbier. Straling (185), Heerlen, Netherlands Aug 17, 2009 Bottle 25cl.
Pours a murky light yellow colour with little carbonation and a good size head.
Very fruity lemony aroma to it, has good notes of lime and raisins there too.
Taste is rather dissappointing, was expecting a bit more from this.
Has some nice lemon there, but nothing special. Bouteille brune, 75 cl, meilleure avant 07/02/09, via Importations Privées Bièropholie (merci Hughes!), savourée le 13 août 2009; œil : citron, voilée, bonne effervescence, mousse blanche style champagne, pas de dentelle; nez : mie de pain, acidité, fruits, froment, léger coriandre; bouche : levure, mie de pain, légère acidité, citron, froment, léger coriandre, lime, finale en levure avec présence de froment, corps moyen-léger, plutôt carbonatée, texture mousseuse; en résumé : bien cking (1012), North Canton, Ohio, USA Aug 7, 2009 Straw yellow body with a large, foamy white head that has no intention of leaving. Beautiful aroma of lemon and peach with a soft clove presence. Crisp and fairly light, diminishing after taste, the faintness of the whole mouth feel detracts from making this exceptionally refreshing. On the other hand the bottle could be enjoyed fairly quickly if one were very thirsty. Flavor is a tad dull compared to the wonderful aroma. Same fruitiness, but the spices are more subdued. A dry, grassy flavor comes forward as well as a hint of banana. Decent Witbier, but I’ve found better ones here in the states. jimmack34 (560), Lancaster, Ohio, USA Jul 31, 2009 1pt9.4oz bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a quick disapating white head. Smells of lemon, orange and wheat malt. Tastes of lemon, orange zest, corriander, wheat, and candy sugar. Body is a little thin and carbonation is a little light, but overall, its a great refreshing beer.
