Il gusto è leggermente acido, speziato, con evidenti note di camomilla e agrumi. Il retrogusto è speziato.
shigadeyo (2210), Harrison, Ohio, USA Nov 23, 2006 Happy Thankgiving! I enjoyed a bottle of Blanche de Namur with my Thanksgiving meal today. The initial pour was aa very pale straw color (almost white) that was slightly hazy. After intentionally disturbing the yeast at the bottle of the bottle later on, the appearance was more like that of cloudy pear or pineapple juice. This beer was generously carbonated and had a big foamy white head. The aroma was mostly orange zest and a hint of corriander. The flavor was also mostly light orange/lemon and wheat malt. It was slightly tart and had a balanced bitterness to it. There really wasn’t any detectable corriander or liquorice in the flavor. It is light bodied and tickled the palate, but didn’t really seem over carbonated - just right for the style. Overall I thought this beer was well balanced and complemented my turkey and meal nicely, but felt that the aroma and flavor weren’t pronounced enough. I would have also liked to taste a bit more of the corriander spice and liquorice flavor. However, the zesty orange flavor and light sweetness were very nice without being overdone.
750 mL bottle (19/12/08), $5.99+tax from River’s Bend. MullMan (1080), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA Nov 12, 2006 cloudy straw pale yellow color, thick foamy white head. aroma is old ornages, lemony, coriander, and very faint anise. flavor is dryish slightly tart wheat malt, more coriander and a little anise in the aftertaste. PhillyBeer2112 (2084), Orange Park, Florida, USA Nov 7, 2006 I can’t quite make up my mind on this witbier. The spicing seems a bit heavy and over-handed, esp with the coriander. Notes of licorice in the nose, but not the flavor. Orangeskin not very detectable. There’s a bit of a wheat character, minty and grainy, and a mild acidity through the finish. A touch of candy, but not very sweet. Vaguely floral. Appropriate cloudy white color with a big fluffy head.
