Metalhead (570), Lake Zurich, Illinois, USA Jul 3, 2006 VERY pale yellow with big densely beaded head. Very fizzy. Reminded me of my aquarium filtration system. Nose is mild lemon. The flavor is also very subtle of lemon/citrus and mild yeast. Refreshing yes,but nothing really stands out which left me a bit disappointed. I agree that Hoegaarden is a better choice. STEPHENDR (478), California, USA Jun 26, 2006 Dirty water color – great frothy head- nose is subtle with mint, sweet, sweet bread- bubble gum, soapy, orange, spicy, lime- oily body – sweet orange refreshing aftertaste- do not shake bottle as instructed on bottle marcus (1826), Sacramento, California, USA Jun 26, 2006 This cloudy yellow beer poured with a fluffy white head. Tastes of lemon and spice, and has a pleasant sweetness. I found this quite refreshing on a very hot summer day. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA Jun 21, 2006 cloudy pale yellow appearance, white, thin, but everlasting head. aroma is dominated by the coriander, with a nice wheaty character to the nose. Do not detect any citrus in the nose...somewhat surprisingly so. Flavor is initially of spice and wheat with very mild hints of the citrus, and bubblegum qualities in the finish. Really the body of this beer doesn’t have much character. Looked good, smelled pretty good, tasted decent enough, yet, I’m still disappointed. mtdshn (174), Moline, Illinois, USA Jun 18, 2006 750mL bottle. Pours a light straw color with a massive beaten egg white-style head. Fairly watery and light. Yeast flavors are pretty high in the mix with some light lemon notes. Indra (2023), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA Jun 11, 2006 750ml bottle. Sweet, fruity aroma with suggestions of lemon frosting and doughy, spicy yeast, some faint pepper alongside notes of coriander and clove, highlighting a slight amount of maltiness in the background. Extremely pale yellow color, hazy with greyish clouds of swirling sediment and a lasting, foamy head. Flavor is spicy, lightly honeyish and sweet, sugary to start, turning lemony, lightly tart and citric, the finish spicy and full of orange, lemon, coriander, banana, and a variety of spices including more clove and coriander. Fluffy, airy palate with a light-medium body. Fairly tasty and refreshing wit. stouby (1932), Holbaek, Denmark Jun 8, 2006 Bottle at home.
Light yellow with a large white head (unclear like milk was added). Aroma moderate malty (coriander, citrus), light yeasty/hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet, light acidic/bitter. Light body, watery, soft carbonated. Wonderful! tjthresh (1749), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Jun 3, 2006 Pour amazing white into the glass. I guess it was really a straw yellow, but I’ve never seen a beer this light in color. A snow white head sat on top for most of the drink. Very delcate on the aroma with the typical corriander spiceiness. Dough, dust, and a lemon citrus note. Again, very light on the flavors as well. Wheat and spice, pepper, and orange when the beer warms a bit. Rolls over the tongue nicely. I think the temp outside helped my enjoy this beer a bit more than I normally would have.
