| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 6, 2005 [bottle from asda] pours pale cloudy yellow with a moderate head. Nose has the witbier orange peel and coriander notes, but also some slightly floral and perfumed aromas. body is too fizzy, stings the tongue a bit. Sigmund (2275), Hafrsfjord, Norway
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 2, 2005 Draught in Aarhus, Denmark. Pale golden milky colour, low head. Typical witbier aroma and flavour of orange peel and coriander, but there’s also a sufficient base of wheat malts and hops to support it. Well balanced, smooth and very pleasant and refreshing to drink. Not a beer that pops up and says BOOH! - but a very nice one all the same. vanvenlo (794), Glen Iris, Australia
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 30, 2005 9 May 2005 - Sweet fruity malt aroma with a touch of earthiness. Cloudy yellow colour, big suds lacing and a brilliant white head. The flavour lacks some distinctiveness, light sweet fruit hops and a bit watery. Thinnish mouthfeel, lacks bubbles but easy drinking. Give me something to describe and I would have been happier. A bit too pissy pants for my liking. Dorqui (1359), Brescia, Italy
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 30, 2005 Light and enough evanescent foam. White opaque color, light and torbid. Sour and pric scent. Much complex with notes of daisy, lemon and yields clear. Full and agreeable taste, pungent and acidulous in the end. Practically absent bitter. JorisPPattyn (5163), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 29, 2005 Very pale yellow; huge, velvety looking white head. Lots of coriander in the nose, but citrus, wheat and other aroma’s (vanilla?) make it quite acceptable, smells even inviting. Very dull, nearly apologetic taste. Some coriander, citrus gone, (non-sweet) dough-like flavour remaining. Pale in comparison to the nose. Light, refreshing but not helped by the absence of citrus. I was expecting more from the much-hailed Du Bocq white.
Tasted under the name "Meessen blanche Vagant . I cannot understand InBev has let this trough, as the label has been conceived in order to be a clone from the Hoegaarden one.
CEZ (369), Milano, Italy
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 26, 2005 [bottle, 25 cl] Pale yellow, very cloudy, heavy carbonation. Head is white and lasting. Very fresh, floral aroma, hints of perfume and spices. Taste is rather dull in comparison due to a rather watery body and an anonymous dry finish. Citric flavour evident but not overpowering. Refreshing, enjoyable. TomT (18), Belgium
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 2, 2005 A very light white beer and probably one of the weaker Belgian white beers. The taste is not very pronounced and is simply not convincing. This beer is not bad, but it does not even come to the knees of the original Hoegaarden.
