Commercial Description:
Blond, cloudy, milky (colloïdal by cold). The cloudy appearance is created at low temperature but disappears when the beer gets warmer or when it is kept too long in the cold. Fine fruity with a scent of the used spice, coriander and bitter orange. Smooth beer, thirst-quenching but mild, slightly acidulous, powdery consistency on the tongue, not bitter

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour with foamy white big head. Wheat and dishwater in aroma. Wheaty halfbitter citric flavour, with long wheaty fruity aftertaste.

Cloudy golden when poured, head forms fast almost like a can of sprite. The taste is very light and acidic almost like a cross between a lemon soda and tonic water. Not for my own personal taste. Maybe in a small portion, but to difficult to sit through an entire .75 liter bottle.

Bottled. A very hazy yellow coloured wit with very little head. The aroma is heavy on lemony notes and there is a fruity yeasty character. The taste is quite perfumed and floral with more lemony wheaty notes. The spices don’t real shine out and the mouthfeel is a bit thin.

(Bottle 75 cl) One of the first Belgian whites to enter the market after the succesful relaunch of Hoegaarden by Pierre Celis. Paler than Hoegaarden, but with a smaller head. All the typical perfumy coriander and orange peel notes that make witbiers such a wonderful and quenching experience. This is one of the best. 040993

I’m not a huge White fan, but this specimen is as good of a Blanche/Witte one will find in the low countries. Very fruity, somewhat spicy, not strong at all--but nicely refreshing.
