Commercial Description:
Blond, cloudy, milky (colloïdal by cold). The cloudy appearance is created at low temperature but disappears when the beer gets warmer or when it is kept too long in the cold. Fine fruity with a scent of the used spice, coriander and bitter orange. Smooth beer, thirst-quenching but mild, slightly acidulous, powdery consistency on the tongue, not bitter

25cl bottle from den belgiske ølbutik, helsinge. cloudy yellow, small thick smooth white head. very nice spicy, citrussy, slight peachy refreshing aroma, also some sweetness in there (powdered sugar). flavor is quite dry, a bit yeasty, peachy, slight citrus, slight spices, stronger coriander note. palate is well carbonated, a little too bubbly i think. overall a nice dry one, but a little too sweet and skunky, as well as a little too agressively carbonated/ too bubbly.

Pours with a large white frothy lasting head and a cloudy straw yellow colour. Coriander and orange peel and floral notes evident in the taste. Carbonation gives a pleasant mouthfeel. Delightful.

Fruity aroma, lovely whitey/yellow colour, fine head. More bitter than Hoegarden, orangy, fruity. Refreshing palate, sparkling, thin. Great beer. Wife still prefers Hoegarden for refreshment, since Namur is a more complex beer, with a little more bitterness. Purchased in New York

Bottle. Purchased as ’Tesco’s Finest Belgian Wheat’ but ratebeer says this is the brewer. Cloudy straw apperance, bright white head that stays around for a bit and gives some nice lace. Aroma is coriander with a bit of an artificial tinge. Body is medium thin. Overall, not quite the complexity I like in a Wit,but nearly there.

Fine white beer with a good balance between sweet and sour. The typical white beer wheat/koriander taste is a little bit chemical; hints of blood oranges. Leaves a bit of a nasty taste behind. Quite smooth. OK beer as long as you don’t have too many.

330ml bottle (expiry end 5/09) into a tumbler glass. Pours hazy dark blond with a medium sized lingering creamy white head. Perfumey aromas of blood red oranges, melons, coriander leaves and wheat. Light bodied with a lively mouthfeel. Flavour is fruity sweetish wheat malts finishing with a mildly citric acid lemony freshness. More complex than Hoegaarden Witbier which is high praise indeed if you ask me. However it is much more expensive Down Under and not readily available.

From the 1 pt. 9.4 fl. oz. bottle marked 30/05/11-J-10:07. It pours a very cloidy pale yellow with a large foamy head. The aroma is of malts, coriander, and citrus and somewhat enticing. The mouthfeel is fairly heavy. The taste is a fine balance of malts, orange, coriander, and other spices and downright smooth. An enjoyable experience.
