3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 SteC (128) - Oostende, BELGIUM - JAN 24, 2003
the taste is not very white-like, tastes a bit like table beer.
But over all a good one

What a beer! Great fruity aroma and flavor. The coriander is in it, but there is more to it than that. I realy like the taste and aroma this beer has. But it’s a bit to sparkling.

Very cloudy blond colour. Great fruity (citrus) aroma. Nice spicy (coriander) and refreshing flavour. A mild and smooth summer beer (but I guess there are better alternatives).

Hazy lemon honey colour under a small short lasting white head. Fresh citrus, corriander and grainy aroma. Medium light body. Light floral citrusy start. Malty grain and spicey middle, and sweeter frutier refreshing finish. A bit faint but quite nice considering Wits are not a real favourite of mine.

The lighter, less cloudy witbier. This is refreshing with citrus and banana flavours. Not as intense as many wheats in both taste and alc. This is the lighter way to enjoy wheat beer.
4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20 dhurtubise (568) - Hamilton, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 6, 2002
As far as wits are concerned, it doesn’t get much better than this. It is light, refreshingly tart, beautifully spiced with more than just coriander and bitter orange peels - i think nutmeg for sure and maybe some cardimum. The spices linger in the background as the lightly bittered beer flows easily with wheat and bitter oranges being the prominent flavors. This is my favorite wit, it is extemely hard to find in North America - in fact this is the only beer that I’ll import a couple of cases yearly. Just lovely.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Linc (736) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - AUG 30, 2002
All the right ingredients are there, but it just doesn’t have enough body to stand up to the citric sourness.

An unclear very yellow beer with a good head. It tastes a lot of lemon/citrus and is very acidic but at the same time very fresh. The overpowering taste of lemon - makes me choose another witbier when that is what I want.

Typical Belgian White. Refreshing citrus.
