COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blond, cloudy, milky (colloïdal by cold). The cloudy appearance is created at low temperature but disappears when the beer gets warmer or when it is kept too long in the cold. Fine fruity with a scent of the used spice, coriander and bitter orange. Smooth beer, thirst-quenching but mild, slightly acidulous, powdery consistency on the tongue, not bitter

(Bottled, 0.75l) Opaque yellow-golden color with a medium, partly lasting head. Very crisp, lemon-fruity and lightly spicy aroma. Fruity, wheaty and lemony flavor with a spicy finish. Fizzy-carbonated, light to medium-bodied, soapy and acidic palate. A nice, refreshing summer drink, although with less flavor and spiciness than in Hoegaarden.

75cl Brown bottle, cork and caged: September 2008 being the date of opening. Drank while on holiday in Belgium, at a camp site called Petite Suisse (little Switzerland). The beer was poured into four of the little tumblers supplied with the mobile home we were renting. The beer was like a cloudy still cider, but watery and weak looking. No head after the initial bubbles had gone (within 30 seconds). The aroma was of wheat, yeast and vanilla, but a sourness hung around it too. A Blanche is supposed to be refreshing and spritly in my opinion, this was a sour fizzy beer that reminded me of Alka Selsa more than anything else beer wise. Dry aftertaste with a metalic feel towards the end. One of the worst beers in this style I’ve had. What I call a ’Burp Beer’ because that is what it made me do, ’Burp’.

Bottle. Cloudy very pale pour, truly almost white, with frothy white foam. Aroma is particularly spicy, tons of coriander and orange peel also. The flavor also reveals a lot of orange notes, slightly tart, very citric with light sweet grainy flavors. Palate is light and fluffy, I agree with the term "powdery" from the commercial description. Maybe a bit too typical? Definitely a true and faithful take on the style.

La mejor cerveza blanca que he probado en mi vida, apetecible sola o para acompañar a la comida.
