Augustijn55 (82), Izegem, Belgium Sep 15, 2006 Taste it saterday at last. Color: gold. Medium body. Little bitter. OK drinkable. Jerre (1359), Waregem, Belgium Sep 3, 2006 Updated: Apr 28, 2008Bottle, 33 cl.
Gold colour. Medium bodied. Citrus taste
and a little bitter. I prefere de cuvees des monts from same brewery. But this also no so bad. JorisPPattyn (4282), Antwerpen, Belgium Jul 3, 2006 Colour of decaying peach, fully hazy; huge white head leaving lace. Bottom of glass is solid yeast. Greenmalt, grass, and badly washed glass (§!!##!*#|!µ**) in the nose. Some colour malts and wheat; very restrained citrus. Earthy taste, leafy and citrus. Yeast-determined but pleasing. Medium bodied, wheat slickness. Citrus in the aftertaste. If this would be called a witbier, I would jump - a witbier unlike all others. But calling it a Saison, makes me think something got wrong... Enfin, I like it. schuimkroaat (384), Leuven, Belgium May 21, 2006 33 cl bottle, ’bbe’ Feb 07, sampled at Vilvordia 06. Orange/amber, turbid, lacy off-white head. Quite a lot of yeast deposit when the bottle is poured empty. Nose of aromatic hops, herbal notes - elderberry flowers? Bitterish taste, yet with a light caramel-like sweetness. It ends abruptly in a harsh, a bit strange bitterness. Dry mouthfeel.
