3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
on tap @ Arthurís / Cincinnati OH --- Clear medium amber with a thin head cover, a few tiny dots of lace. Taste is straight clean malt that is quickly knocked aside by medium pine hops. The hops continue through a lingering finish. This is a good IPA, but it is also very typical, showing me nothing new or original.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at The Ohio Taproom. Pours a clear orange color with a medium thick and fluffy white head that diminishes slowly. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, fruit and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of citrus, grassy hops, malt and a touch of wheat. The finish is mildly bitter with a short fruity hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft from the new beer bar at Great American Ballpark. Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Notes of weed-like herbs, wheat, straw, lemon and orange citrus, light florals, crackers, and a hint of pine and pineapple. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a mouthfeel that starts bitter and fruity but ends very dry. Good IPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft pours golden. Nose crisp malt, lemon hop. Taste bitter bite up front, light citrus. Wheaty malt mid palate and slight spice. Bitter finish. Easy to drink, but none of the flavors really shine through.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft a few weeks back. pours a clear golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have citrus, floral and mildly spicy hops with a malt bill that has pale malts with a bit of caramel. Decent drinker with mild to moderate bitterness. Decent, but nothing really stands out.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at BrewRiver. Pours a clear orange with a thick white head. Aroma of toasted malt, fruity hops, citrus, tropical fruits, a touch of grassy hops. Flavor of tropical fruits, caramel malt, grassy hops, and citrus. Light, fruity/grassy hops. Iím not sure I get the "wheat" part of this, but itís an excellent IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught at Brew River. Didnít realize this was a so called white IPA. No huge wheat presence, which is good. Taste is sweet and slightly honey like. Nice hoppy IPA. Yellow body. Good.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
7/03/2013: Blank Slate Lesser Path White IPA... This beer was described to me by the waitress as a White IPA and Iím guessing that means that it was made with wheat, but none of it comes out in the beerís appearance, aroma or flavor. This is a pretty good IPA with a nice citrus and floral hop profile (Cascade hops definitely come through) and bitterness, but unfortunately is nothing special. One pint is enough for me. I hate to say it, but I think IPAs like this one have become fairly ubiquitous now. I guess thatís a good thing overall, but as much as a I enjoy a yellow IPA with a good balance of citrusy and floral hops and enough bitterness to keep the underlying maltiness at bay, all of them just start to taste the same and as a result are nothing unique anymore.
Draught (pint) at Arthurís in Cincinnati, Ohio. Rating #4 for this beer.
