Brewed with the finest six row barley our country can grow, Blatz marries old world Gumeiklekeit with new world creativity. Next time the barkeep asks what brand you want, ask for Milwaukee’s Finest Beer - Blatz!

The typical light golden color with a little head. Terse in flavor which makes it way too light and boring. There are good light beers out there but this is not one of them.

Not quite as good as Blatz original. Watered down Blatz flavor, better than most light beers at similar price level.

Not a memory rate, I drink as I think. Little sister of my well known friend blatz. Funny name huh? Sweet aroma with possibly a little cream corn, but not much. Possibly strong ale or a little malt liquor like on the smell. Ubiquitous pale yellow american color, what else? Friendly introductory taste. Mannered and well behaved, no offensive bite or bitterness. Not quite as good as Schmidts, old german or Carlesburgh. Much better than city lager or city ice. This is overall a good session brew, very repeatable for at least one session or a couple of yards.

They still package this swill? Talk about your macro-brewery milking an old brand’s reputation to death, this one should have been retired decades ago. Pours a near water honey hue, with no head. Aroma of soggy corn flakes in water (try it if you are curious) and some barnyard hay. Taste is nearly as clean as water. No aftertaste. C’mon Pabst/SABMiller, it’s time to allow this one to fade into history.

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2008 Go for Blatz original. This light beer should not have been made. The unique Blatz taste is almost completely depleted while the aroma is far less appealing. Glad to see Miller Brewing Company is still keeping up their signature quality in beer.

Finally, a real man’s light beer. This is what all light beers should be. My good buddy and fellow ratebeerian jayson2425 brought me some of this back from Wisconsin because he knew I loved blatz heavy and I wasn’t dissapointed by this white trash treasure. Give me this anyday over any light beer by any other brewer. Nice diesel taste without any watered down flavor. Makes me want to go out on my deck in my beater and sing hank williams songs. The only reason I can’t give it a perfect score is because it is a light beer and I don’t believe in that.

From a can. Poured with a pale yellow body and a white head. The aroma had cooked corn and some raw soybeans. The taste was a little bit of sweet potatoes with some hints of nasty honey in the background. Not too bad for a light pale lager.

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2010 OH THE JOY! THE AMBROSIA! THE HEAVEN that is Blatz beer, for us tubby people!! YES! I love this stuff. Not as much as regular Blatz, but this allows a man to quaff a quick 20 or so, and still be able to jump into his spiffy spandex jumpsuit the next day, without tearing it to shreds! Excellent with Slim Jims, 4th of July parties, and fighting with neighbors, in-laws, and police officers! A must have, if you live in Wisconsin, Michigan or the Universe at large! This is the preffered beverage of Valient Thorr....You know what I’m talkin’ about????!
