I have good memories of drinking this from my grandfather’s glass. It had a beautiful gold color and lots of bubbles, forming a thick, tall white head. It no longer has this impressive appearance, but the flavor is what I remember. It has some corn with a dry maltiness. Served cold, it isn’t bad at all. Much lower carbonation than I remember, and no thick, tall, head. Actually it tastes better straight from the can.

Can. Poured clear pale color with a medium frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sweet grainy aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of short to moderate duration. My expectations where met with a below average beer.

(can - 12 oz) Clear golden pour color with a fizzy white head. Malty and sweet aroma with a light grassy note. Lightly sweet at the front with a very mild grassy and corn middle. Smooth finish and very easy to drink.

UPDATED: JUL 16, 2011 Enjoyed on tap at Frank’s Power Plant in Milwaukee, WI, where my band played a show. For my 5th beer of the night, this one was perfect as it was pretty light. One of those "I’m about to have too many so I’ll get this instead" beers. Appearance fizzy yellow beer with white head. Aroma not really much there, generic lager smell. Taste is actually smooth for a mass produced lager, not much other than hay/straw. Not bad though....had this again at the Beat Kitchen in Chicago, IL while watching 7000 Dying Rats (the band). This tasted like a mixture between stale and moldy bread, and water. Man was it bad. I guess on tap is the way to go!

Wasser. Better than Miller or Budweiser though. It is a light tasting lager with a noticeable adjunct coating.

Once, when younger, this was my "go to" brew. Absolutely standard micro brew, but the name was interesting!

Strangely enough, last night brought to me my first even bottle of Blatz beer. It’s a Milwaukee legend, been established for over 150 years I think. Forgive me beer.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2010 Poured pale yellow with actually a decent head that faded to a frothy lace. Aroma was mainly of corn and with a slight malt and sweetness in the background. Taste was primarily of corn/adjunct grains with a twinge of malt and a light hop and slightly sour bite finish. Palate was OK but a bit thin. Overall, a typical macro brewed at Miller for Pabst. I wonder how close this stuff is to the orginal Blatz formula??? I have a hard time believing that Val Blatz would have been proud of this stuff. However, for the price I can see why this stuff is on the shelves.

Bought a sixer of this because I remember my dad drinking it 30 some years ago when I was a kid. Really regret my decision...this stuff is horrible!
