superd44688 (49), Canton, Ohio, USA May 19, 2007 Used to by these in the returnables just to show you how long ago I had drank this. Tried this recently either the recipes changed or my memory has faded. Poured pale corn yellow, no head, corn smell, hardly any taste. Blatz is drinkable but would not go out of my way to acquire.
esjaygee (918), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Nov 28, 2008 Part of a six can blind pale lager tasting with Blatz, Miller High Life, Pabst, Hamms and Budweiser. Very light yellow with a large white slowly fading head. Aroma of salty apple, corn and sweet malt. Taste of grain, corn, apple and malt. Astringent with a tin like aftertaste. Watery chaff, indeed. BeerBelcher (800), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Sep 6, 2008 Not very good. Typical light lager, but with a sort of nasty-sweet corn aroma and flavor. Light yellow, clear, fizzy. HonkeyBra (509), Lemont, Illinois, USA Jun 22, 2008 Lets say grandpa died. We were going through his possessions, and we found a can of this beer tucked away somewhere. For whatever reason we decide to crack it. We say, wow, the head is creamy, and it tastes old, like must, mothballs, mold, etc. Yeah, it’s cool to be old-school, but this is geriatric. coopermrkn (26), Minnesota, USA Jun 16, 2008 Good beer. Had this in Wisconsin. If I wasn’t such a PBR and Old Style fan I would drink this more. billtheman (49), milford, Delaware, USA Mar 19, 2008 A good for mass produced beer, but by no means great. Another of those I considered good in a pinch. Much better then Bud or Pabst, a little below Millers.
