I drank more of this in college watching the Penguins win two Stanley cups than I can even think of remembering. I actually like the taste of Blatz. It is not weak and it is definitely sweetly malted. I haven't had this beer for a long time, but there are definitely beers out there that suck more that Blatz.

Part of a six can blind pale lager tasting with Blatz, Miller High Life, Pabst, Hamms and Budweiser. Very light yellow with a large white slowly fading head. Aroma of salty apple, corn and sweet malt. Taste of grain, corn, apple and malt. Astringent with a tin like aftertaste. Watery chaff, indeed.

Not very good. Typical light lager, but with a sort of nasty-sweet corn aroma and flavor. Light yellow, clear, fizzy.

Lets say grandpa died. We were going through his possessions, and we found a can of this beer tucked away somewhere. For whatever reason we decide to crack it. We say, wow, the head is creamy, and it tastes old, like must, mothballs, mold, etc. Yeah, it’s cool to be old-school, but this is geriatric.

Good beer. Had this in Wisconsin. If I wasn’t such a PBR and Old Style fan I would drink this more.

A good for mass produced beer, but by no means great. Another of those I considered good in a pinch. Much better then Bud or Pabst, a little below Millers.
