NYC Trip Beer #13. While this is a collaboration, I could not pass up an opportunity to grab some Hill Farmstead. Split the bottle with my wife. Upon seeing our order, a local beer nerd whose name now escapes me invited me to his table. I became quite jealous as he talked about his pending trip to the Hill Farmstead anniversary trip. Poured a hazy yellow with ample head. Smelled of crisp white whine and citrus. Mix of fruit, citrus, and champagne. Mouthfeel is very bubbly. Bottle - Blind Tiger - New York, NY

Very much old country saison. Light, crisp and well carbonated. Slightly tart and slightly funky over a yeasty backbone. Very strong peppery notes that seem to increase with each sip. The American part of this collab is the hops, but I'm not picking any of this up. Quintessential old country farmhouse ale all the way! Solid.

pour is pale hazy yellow with a tight billowy white head. Nose has a great yeast presence, strong and funky, dry hop presence, light lemon. Taste follows suit, huge farmhouse note, not too funky but the yeast is bright and delicious. Lemon is light, solid hop presence and a touch grassy. Crisp clean dry finish with perfect carb. So drinkable and balanced.
