3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at home on 16th April 2013. Not a million miles away from the regular Blaugies saison but with a much more noticeable prolonged bitterness towards the end. Very solid.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared at the Stouts III & Other Tasting - London. Many thanks to Kenneth. Pours cloudy, bright yellow-gold with a large, fluffy white head; looks beautiful. Pretty classic saison nose, plenty of dry dough, hay and grass, hints of lemon peel. Light to medium sweet flavor with some sturdy offsetting bitterness, dry grass, straw, some cereal and dough. Light to medium bodied with lively carbonation. Dry, fairly clean and quite bitter to finish, more dry grass and straw, hard dough, hints of white sugar. Pretty darn tasty overall but a little too bitter to be great.

Bottle, thanks gold with white head. Aroma spicy phenols, citrus, lemongrass, vanilla. Flavors have a good balance of pepper, citrus, and lemongrass, other notes of funk, hay and grass. Great balance here, excellent traditional Belgian Saison.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml bottle... Purchased at west Lakeview... Pours a semi-hazy golden straw hue and topped with a fluffy creamy white head... Aroma of yeast hay and mild white pepper particles. Grassy through the middle and clean crisp and dry even through the aroma... Flavors are more of the same with a traditional clean saison profile with hay grass and Belgian yeast supporting notes. Medium fluffy bodied with lively carbonation. Spastic and well executed from a traditional point of view. Drinks nicely.

Trockener herber Antrunk mit geringen Kräuternoten, die im Mittelteil der Trockenheit unterliegen. Der Hopfen ist dumpf, wenig grasig. OK, nichts Besonderes. 11/8/9/9/10/9

Bottle shared at Chris’ pad. Clear yellow pour with a huge frothy white head. Grapefruit hop aromas. Effervescent and dominated by grapefruit hop aromas and maybe Belgian yeast?
