Bottle @ RBESG grand tasting. Opaque pale yellow color with slightly some floaties in it, huge rough white head. Not a very nice aroma, pretty musty I would say. Taste is a bit flat: hayish, musty, cellar, barnyard. Low body, medium carbonation.

Pouring at The Festival in Portland with Kramer, Andrew, and J-Dadmond. Pours a faintly hazed glowing gold with a thin white head. Big fuzzy musk, soft wheat and a light herbal touch. Soft lemon, wheat, musk. Chewy wheat, musk, faint citrus. Musk and wheat.

UPDATED: MAR 27, 2014 750ml bottle in a Hill Farmstead tulip. Pours cloudy golden with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of light spices, some wheat and pale malts, and some floral hops. Flavor the same with a nice blend of everything. Fluffy, light texture. A good saison. Edit: Bottle bought in 2014. Still really good with a light fruity hoppiness. Flavor the same with the hops more pronounced in a fresher batch. Really cool.

Archetypal cloudy golden pour with an enormous rocky white head. Fruity, juicy orange, mandarine, floral hops are the first aroma trait I notice, but the rustic, earthy, spicy usual Blaugies yeast is not far behind and potentially ahead. The house character is all there, the liberal, borderline exagerated carbonation uplifting the acidity and refreshment as well. The hops focus probably fortunately on floral and citrusy aromatics rather than resinous, rough bitterness. There is still a good chunk of bitterness to the finish, but it is not to an exuberant IPA level. A good fusion offering with authentic rustic character and not overstated American hops.

Pours a really nice golden with a big white head that needs some effort to tame. Aroma is really nice with yeast derived components, spices and yellow fruits mostly, some nice malty notes (grains, light syrup) and the tinyest bit of hops. Taste is nicely dry with only the tinyest amount of sweetness and a much appreciated bitterness. Flavors are malty, spicy and all around rustic. Mouthfeel is nice with a higher level of carbonation. A great one by Blaugies and HFS!

Bottle (750 ml). Slightly hazy with a huge foamy white head and good lacing. Aroma is interesting with floral and herbal notes, nice farmhouse presence, light skunk and just the right amount of Amarillo hops. Taste is slightly to moderately sweet with yeast, floral notes, spices, grains and citrus. Medium body. Good carbonation. Slightly dry. Very good Saison with just the right amount of hop which give this one a very interesting turn. Really thirst quenching! Superb balance! If it was not of the skunky notes (damn green bottle), it would have been a 4+.
