Bottle at bar. Golden color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, mango, hops, earthy notes, grass and resin. Bitter finish with hops, citrus and mango. Excellent saison.

Bottle pours hazy light gold, massive active head caused a 3 part pour to fill my snifter. Musty nose with additional grass. Taste has a nice citrus bite, moves to grass and must. Balance. Light body with lingering lemons.

Yellow colour, white foam. Medium body. Too much carbonation. Aroma is grassy with lemon peel. Hoppy bitter and dry finish. The carbonation destroys much of the taste.

750ml bottle purchased at The Davis Beer Shoppe. The aroma has a nice, lightly sweet, estery character. Not too barnyardy or heavy on the ester. A bit of lemon peel. Light coriander. Hazy, mostly opaque golden-yellow body with a large, bubbly white head present. Strong lacing. Starts with a bit of a metallic flavor, before some sharp carbonation takes over in the middle. Muted yeast esters with light coriander, before this becomes ridiculously hoppy, bitter, and astringent late. I get what they’re trying to do here, but I really dislike super hoppy Belgian Ales.

Tap at churchkey march 20214 Pours hazy orange with a small soapy white head and sparse lacing. Nose is fruity sweet and lite funk. Flavors are grassy lightly spicy but more like a wit beer on steroids. Long spicy finish lots of pepper and grass. Very hoppy notes. Some decent ibu’s for this beer. Actually very nice flavors here!!! Long peppery finish. Solid!

750mL shared with GT2. Big carbonation on clear golden, big white foam. Nose is sourdough bread, fresh air, wheat, very simple and clean. Taste is very simple as well- fairly one note but nearly perfect for style with sourdough toast, freshly cut grass, low but present hop balance, no sugar, dry but not papery in finish. Exceptionally refreshing and undoubtedly a perfect rendition of the classic, farmhouse saison. Loved it.

Slightly bitter with a touch of wet hay. Does that sound bad? It’s actually quite refreshing with a touch of complexity.

Lemons and grass on the nose, peppery dry malt flavor. Medium high carbonation, finish is very dry. This is everything I’d want in a saison.

Bottle from Etre Gourmet, bought in March 2013. Clear golden with a huge, fluffy white head. Aroma and taste of citrus, hay, some light funk, yeast, lemon and some lime peel. Fairly soft mouthfeel and a dry finish. Very refreshing and nicely drinkable.

Pours cloudy yellow with white, frothy head. Aroma is earthy, barnyard, flowers, straw. Flavour is light to medium bitter, earthy, straw and light sweet.
