Appearance: crystal clear medium gold, with a huge, fluffy, frothy, bright white head that lasted forever, with huge cotton candy swathes of lace and active carbonation. Aroma: lemon, drying hay, pie crust, light funk, hint of pineapple juice and peaches in light syrup; spicy, with light clove, toasted coriander, and white pepper. Taste: bright and a little spicy, with lemon zest, champagne, and floral honey notes over a light funk. Finish: active, prickly palate carries the citrus and spice through the longest, while the funky notes fade quickly. Notes: Bottle from the Rare Beer Club. A zinger of a saison. Typical musty funk was somewhat reduced in favor of a flavor profile more reminiscent of a typical Belgian golden ale. Palate was perfect. Very, very, very good.

Overcarb'd. Smells totally skunked, damn green bottles. Mellows a bit as it sits, turns sweet and bland and boring. Sweet corn & malts. Reminds me of a really old bottle of Budweiser. Wtf HF?!

750ml bottle. Hazy golden with a huge frothy white head. Flavors are lemon, stone fruits, hay, dough, spices and light horse blanket with floral notes. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, slick texture. Bone dry bready and fruity finish.

On tap at reservoir. Pale golden with head and lace. Very complex spicy citrus grassy hay floral aroma. Mild spicy mango peach fruity sweetness with spicy herbal fresh complex grassy medium peppery dry bitternes. Highly attenuated medium light body with fine carbo. I have had heady and abner tonight and this is better. Outfuckingstanding.

bottle from decicco ardsley seemed to be last one..so happy to land..but overall this was slightly disappointing...good pop from the cage and cork..nose seemed overall more minerally than I expected and this came through taste wise as well..seemed to feature grain and just didnít have that typical saison flavor profile that I prefer...some like it better in the group..didnít care for it..perhaps another collaboration beer that shouldnít have been?

Shared 750ml to chalices. Golden cloudy yellow with a huge pillowy head that retains for the life of the drink. Lemony zesty flavor. Some funk on the nose but itís subtle. Iím no saison aficionado but this is spectacular.

750ml bottle. Gunshot loud pop from the cork being popped. Oh my, a real Saison...I almost forgot. Massive fluffy white head on top of a slightly hazy orange-tan body. The spelt comes through, was my first thought before reading the description. Pretty much nails it. This is excellent. Lively champagne carbonation. Funky. spicy strong Saison yeast characteristics but the body suits them fine, unlike most mundane bodied US examples. Has some funky lemony horseblanket tones, but enough of a robust earthy undertone to keep it firmly is Saison. Primo example of the style.

750ml bottle from West Lakeview, split with my bride. Pours a clear, light amber color with a huge white head. Aroma is sour fruit, lemon, orange, some yeasty bread. Light on the palate with lively carbonation. Flavor is tart, bitter, cereal, some bready, grass, some yeast, a little spiciness, clove, with a dry, yeasty finish. Interesting.
