4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml. bottle poured to snifters, displaying a cloudy, light orangy gold color, with lasting, frothy, soft white head foam, and wavy cling to the lacing. The aroma was floral/ light lavender, mellow, under control, yeasty funkiness, light spice, esters as lemon & peach, and a nice, subtle sweetness. Similar notes were present in the taste, with light tartness, and moderate hop bitterness woven in. Light bodied, with lively effervesence, light silkiness to the mouthfeel, and a pleasant dryness to the finish. No complaints, except that we only had one bottle to share! An impressive, nicely balanced Saison.

Overall, a really nice down to earth saison and very traditional in taste but for a single bottle limit release, not worth it.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle: Poured a hazy dirty beige color ale with a nice huge white foamy head with excellent retention and some very good lacing. Aroma of rustic malt with light funky ester with some nice floral dry hops notes with light and subtle lemony notes. Taste is also dominated by rustic malt with nice funky yeasty notes and some light lemony notes with an incredible dry floral hoppy finish. Body is about average for style with great carbonation. As good as I had anticipated though could do without the light lemon notes.

Bottle at Paul tasting. A big frothy white head on this one. Big farmhouse notes - barnyard, hay, grassy and yeast focus. Touch biscuity. Taste is all about the barnyard focus. Funky, hay, horse blanket, tarty and grassy. Quite earthy. Very solid

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, a typical heavy on belgian yeast saison. Very spicy and perfumy aroma. Lots of very dry fruit. Very full-bodied. Quite intense bitterness, though not in a hoppy sense.
