750ml bottle. Milana really liked it and she doesn’t like beer. Hazy dark yellow with a nice white head. Some yeast, farmhouse, horse blanket, grass, some chardonnay, lemongrass, light spice. Moderate+ carbonation, light body, refreshing, very dry, more chardonnay, very nice.

Stine (1453) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 31, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 3, 2014 Detailed aroma of herbs and spices, fruits, and funk; cardamom, lemon, apple cider vinegar, and a healthy splash of salt.

Heavily acidic, fruit-forward flavor lunges out quickly, with a too-lean - though flavorful - pils malt profile struggling to support it.

The palate could nearly be described as watery, and certainly somewhat acidic. Finishes pleasantly, with a scrubbing of dry hops.

Bottle from Luekens. Bright hazy gold pour with a large lasting frothy white head a some yeast floaters. Big earthy aroma, yeast funkiness, barn, sourdough, citrus and grass with hints of spice. Citrus entry, lemons, sourdough, yeast funk fading into grass and spice at the end. Loads of carbonation and a dry prickly ending. Very nice and rustic.

This was a great, refreshing saison. The flavor matched the aroma perfectly with soft lemongrass notes followed by a crisp and tropical hop profile. I’m not surprised that even a splash of Hill Farmstead would mean a brew this good.

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2014 Bouteille partagée avec Charles au Gainsbourg. Bouteille en IP. Couleur jaune paille, mousse blanche.
