24th Jan 2015: shared 750ml bottle at the Cotteridge Wine meet. Cheers Fin for this. The beer had been passed around a bit before I got my grubby hands on it, so my misty golden pour and wispy headed sample may have been towards the sediment end of the bottle, so the look was ’iffy’. The taste and aroma of course were intensified by the said sediment and I had a nose full of sour citrusy lemon esters and a tart, yeasty, lemony flavoured drink in front of me that maybe others would have enjoyed more than me: toilet duck came to mind.

imdownthepub (10982) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 27, 2015
Bottled, sampled at The Cotteridge Convention, many thanks to Fin for this one. Hazy pale yellow with white head. This tasted like a rich man’s Saison, there is the tartish, lemony citric flavour with a bretty yeasty background, but also with rather a sumptuous, bitter lemon hop character with some tangerine thrown in. Very decent indeed.
