3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very earthy with some strong skunky tones and a resiny mouthfeel. Has hints of pepper, light citrus, and some bready characteristics. All together a nice change of pace that I appreciate for what it is, but it wouldn’t be a go to.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle... Hazy yellow pour with a large frothy white head. Diminishes to a small, tight cap that lasts throughout. The aroma is spicy and herbal with a smattering of cereal grains. Light-bodied with lively and airy carbonation. The flavor is loaded with phenolic spiciness and herbal notes. Stereotypical saison for the most part, but the bitterness in this one does stand out. Finishes bitter and dry. Bottle courtesy of landhoney!

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a pale golden color with three plus fingers of tiny bubbled tight white foam. The nose is classic saison love... rustic grain, clay, peppered esters, fresh grass, straw, citrus rind. The palate follows the nose nicely with a nice complex grain bill that is focused and accented nicely by the yeast and light earthy hop bitterness. Crisp clean and refreshing, everything I want when Im chugging some farmhouse suds.

3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared at Paul Unwin tasting at The Kernel. Murky, hazy, floating particles, amber, thin white head. Nose is gorgeous, toffee, white sugar, meringue, vanilla, citrous acidic, funky yeasty. Flavour is quite complex. Lemony, orange citrous, farmhouse funky, very dry, hoppy, grassy.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light hazy pale yellow coloured beer with a medium fading frothy white head. On the nose aromas of hay, barnyard, hops, floral and a hint of scruyy/skunky notes develop. Light slick bit watery in texture showing a soft fizz. Medium bodied with a light sweet-bitter taste. The finish is well balanced and light medium lingering on the palate.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml. bottle poured to snifters, displaying a cloudy, light orangy gold color, with lasting, frothy, soft white head foam, and wavy cling to the lacing. The aroma was floral/ light lavender, mellow, under control, yeasty funkiness, light spice, esters as lemon & peach, and a nice, subtle sweetness. Similar notes were present in the taste, with light tartness, and moderate hop bitterness woven in. Light bodied, with lively effervesence, light silkiness to the mouthfeel, and a pleasant dryness to the finish. No complaints, except that we only had one bottle to share! An impressive, nicely balanced Saison.
