Very earthy with some strong skunky tones and a resiny mouthfeel. Has hints of pepper, light citrus, and some bready characteristics. All together a nice change of pace that I appreciate for what it is, but it wouldn’t be a go to.

Bottle from BierCab, Barcelona. Hazy golden underneath an enormous white foam. Farmyard and intense lemony nose, on closer inspection also spices and wood. Lemony, woody, spicy, sour dry flavours. A great creation.

Bottle shared at the 5k/7k/11k. Aroma of barnyard funk, duct tape, pepper, and lemon peel. Pours hazy blonde with good chunks and a nice big fizzy head. Taste is lemon peel, clove, pepper, and wheat. Great tart mouthfeel and a grainy peppery funk. Very dry and very complex.

Pours light orange with a decent head. Aroma of bubble gum, big belgian yeast, some brett, grassy, a bit of citrus. Taste is peppery with a bit of soapy finish, a lot of citrus but also brett-like character with a lot of earthiness and belgian yeast input, mostly bubblegum. Mouthfeel is light and very dry.

This is a beer that shows itself through an aggressive subltness. The nose is yeasty with notes of lime zest, coriander and black pepper. The spritziness of the body carries the dry and lightly tart palate. Quite refreshing and delicious.

(Backlog ZBF 2013, ZO 28). ¿Bottle? One of the day’s more simply standout brews in the still understated undercategory of US-dryhopped BE saisons (cf. Jandrain, De la Senne). Spelt-dry hayish malts lay a fine, yeast-chalky base for the Amarillo citrus rinds to liven and freshen up. Subtle balance between exotic bitterness and the majestic dust of the terroir. Hinting at my ideal sessioning beer. More saisons like this with broader distribution please, quick.

Bottle. Hazy hay yellow liquid with medium white head. Aroma of white pepper, tangerine, bubblegum, bread, grain and banana. Taste is dry and light bitter with notes of white pepper, tangerine, bread and bubblegum. Light bodied with medium carbonation. Really nice.

Bottle. Pours with a hazed golden hue with a massive white head. Aromas show an initial reason to not send bottles long distances in green glass. Light struck (a bit), funky, grassy, peppery, tangerine, a bit carbonic. Some spicy notes, yeast phenols, coriander, grassy. Flavors are dry, peppery, delicious yeast character, dried apricot and white pepper. Floral, lightly candied orange rind. Lively carbonation, crisp, dry. Very nice to drink other than the light struck character. Better than expected.

Bottle brought to clockworks. Pours a bright hazy golden body with thick white lacing. Aroma is super dry yeast, lemon, grass and wheat. Mouthfeel is really dry with notes of yeast, lemongrass and light sourdough. Nice super dry saison.
