Very earthy with some strong skunky tones and a resiny mouthfeel. Has hints of pepper, light citrus, and some bready characteristics. All together a nice change of pace that I appreciate for what it is, but it wouldn’t be a go to.

Bottle. Pours light golden, with an enormous creamy head. Aroma has initial and short lived whiffs of fruity hops, followed by tart Belgian yeast and wooden bretty notes with spices and pepper, as well as light fruits and apples. Light body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is tart, fruity yeast, with lemon peel and notes of wood and pepper.

750ml bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy pale straw, with a white head. Spicy, citrusy aroma, hints of funk, grass, hops, lemon peel, yeast, lightly phenolic. Dry, light to medium bodied, mid bitterness, balanced CO2. Spicy, lightly funky taste, citrus peel, yeast, phenols, hops, spruce, apricot, grass, faintly earthy. Well balanced, very fine limbed and elegant. Really nice. (2015-05-03)
