Sampled during CBC 2013. Hazy golden pour with a nice off-white head. Lightly funky aroma, farmhouse yeast, spicy and estery, dry and fruity, some doughy raw grain character. Nice flavor, fruity and dry, a touch of spice and banana, lemon, light funk, doughy pale malts and wheat. Tasty.

Bottle. Pours cloudy yellow in color with a fluffy white head. Grainy notes, lots of them actually, funkyness and lemony notes too in aroma. Nice saison-y vibe here. Sour fruits and spicy yeasty notes appears later on. Bit fruity and bit grainy in taste, but also earthyness and toasted bready notes with a funky twist are there.

Slightly hazed, golden-yellow color with a huge, froth head, leaving a thin, bubbly lacing at the side of the glass. Slightly funky aromas of mellow yeast with green grass, lemon peel, onion and subtle, malt based sweetness. Begins with an intriguing interplay between sparkling, coppery carbonation and tongue-biting, warm spices, coming along with hints of black pepper and herbal, floral notes. These get enhanced by a grassy hoppiness which inherits an enjoyable bitterness, wrapped up by soft, white-bread yeast. A malty sweetness developes underneath these flavors and becomes more and more detectable during the finish, which gets joined by a slick, soft bitterness, a melange of yeast and hops. These very different flavors go unexpetedly well together, enhancing each others taste, without any off-flavors or distractions. Clove morphs flawlessly into floral hops, with carbonation calming the malty sweetness by coppery metallicness. Unexpectedly complex, but throughout pleasant with a finish which is bitter and sweet at the same time, leaving me very satisfied.

Keg at Pressklubben, Stockholm. Cloudy pale golden, huge lively head. Floral honey and mineral aroma. Dry with medium body and firm, rounded mouthfeel. Elegant with some spicy grain, marzipan and citrus. Minerally batteries finish.

Bottle at home from Belgiuminabox
Hazy burnished gold with frenetic carbonation and lazy lolloping fluffy white head. Foam is lemon peel and sweet candy sugar. Rich yeast esters and Clementine on nose. Full bodied, gentle carbonation, yeast esters, dry herbal bitterness and pithy finish.

75 cl bottle decanted into a jug, then to a balloon. Very nice aroma, floral with some bubblegum. Pours with a massive white head, beer is a slightly hazy yellow. Taste has slight initial sweetness, leading quickly to a very bitter beer. Medium body, good carbonation (the cork escapes with some force!) and a bitter finish. Overall a very good beer bucking the usual sweet watery texture of many wheat beers and with a clever hopping that does not overpower.

Hazy golden color with a large, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of toast, earthy yeast, spice, floral hops, light citrus. Taste of toast, earth, some spicy yeast, citrus, and a bitter hop note in the finish.

Bottle popped really well with an awesome traditional looking label. Pours cloudy lemon unclear with a nice white head. Aroma brings a nice funky saison yeast followed by skunky hops so great in the nose. The flavor of unique grainy spelt and light piney hops with a bitter and yeast blended ending all on a great body.

Collaboration with Hill Farmstead in 2013, spelt beer and the first new Blaugies brew in years so I looked forward to taste it. Rocky, thick, yellowish white head, cloudy golden blonde colour. Very saison aroma, jute, hay, barnyard, dry sherry, green apple, hemp, grass, sweat, lemon zest. Dry fruity taste, apple, bitter honey, soft maltiness, grassy and citrussy, complex hop bitterness in the finish. Very appetizing but somehow I expected more from this.

750 ml. bottle. Pours a murky pale gold with a huge white head. Was a small gusher. Aroma of fruit, yeast, and spice. Taste is citrus, funk, grass, and spice. Very nice.
