Sampled during CBC 2013. Hazy golden pour with a nice off-white head. Lightly funky aroma, farmhouse yeast, spicy and estery, dry and fruity, some doughy raw grain character. Nice flavor, fruity and dry, a touch of spice and banana, lemon, light funk, doughy pale malts and wheat. Tasty.

From the corked, caged 750 ml green bottle. The pour is pale yellow with a fizzy white head and champagne-like carbonation. I had hoped the green bottle would lead to a skunky aroma but unfortunately it did. But I also picked up a nice dose of toasted bread, yeast, citrus, and spice. Light to medium body. The taste has a slight wild ale bite to it, which is to be expected for a Saison. Lots of breaded character too. Lemongrass and citrus zing.

Great beer. Carbonation was aggressive; it looked very rustic, yellow a bit clearer than I expected. Cirsp, some barnyard funk. Mouthfeel was crisp, with some hop bitterness, and some funk from the brett. I enjoyed this better quite cold, actually. Delicious stuff, as was to be expected.

[My bottle (750ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jercraigs & mabel -- c/o Glouglouburp] Pours a murky yellow-gold with a huge fluffy white head and minimal lacing. Nice aroma, herbal and hoppy along with some citrus, spices and light funkiness. Flavour’s the same, herbal and hoppy, citrusy and spicy, but with more yeast. Average to medium bodied. Just lovely stuff.

75cl bottle shared (first time ever) with the other half, delighted. Hazy gold, fluffy white head. Lovely citrus and herb nose: lots of lemon peel and white pepper, bit of juicier citrus stuff in there. Taste gives spelt bread, lemon peel, grapefruit juice, slightly sweeter bread dough, orange blossom. Little bite of herbs and saison yeast, nice and spicy. Good citric note lingering, alongside lighter orange blossom and herb. Medium bodied. Tremendous and seriously refreshing.

2014-08-08. Hazy pastel orange body with a large foamy white head. 3+ Aroma is pleasant, lightly funky grassy lemon character. 7++ Flavour is similar, lemony grassy character, a good amount of bitterness throughout lingers in the aftertaste. Light yeasty bite. Average plus bodied palate, soft but effervescent carbonation. Not as much depth as some but pretty refreshing and quite drinkable. A light golden body, mostly clear with a big white head that had nice retention and decent lacing. Carbonation was mild. Aroma had a blend of fruity esters, mostly a banana note but some nice tartness as well. Nice bubblegum and a funky barnyard quality. Mild floral notes were present. Flavor was well balanced fruit flavors upfront. Bubblegum was mild and floral notes were a nice change. A nice tart yeasty finish. Carbonation was restrained. A good beer.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden beer with a very big white head on top. Aroma of raisins, Belgian yeast, bread and light Belgian spices. Flavor is medium sweet, very yeasty and rather uninteresting. Light silky mouthfeel, light carbonation. Typical example of another mediocre saison, I’ve expected far better given the scores here, but I find it very disappointing.
