Légère acidulation. Les levures belges goûtent énormément et on sent un soupçon de houblon très subtil. Amertume très sèche. Saison belge typique. Pas mon genre mais buvable

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Clear blond with white thick white head. Aroma is fresh cereal, hay, spices and raw honey. Taste is cereal, honey and belgian yeast. Authentic saison, among the best of the style with Saison Dupont. Blaugies and Hill Farmstead seems to be a perfect match (Vermontoise and Sarrasin), Collaboration between brewers often leads to poors results, this is definitly not the case. It feels like the best of of both signature.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
(On tap @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Dec 11 2014) Pours a slightly hazy medium gold with a large frothy white head and lots of lace. Aroma is fruity and farmhouse funky, with a malt base like hefty wheat, citrus juice fruitiness, light honey, touch of banana phenol, grassy, lavender like florals, a nice wet hay/horse blanket character hanging over all, slightly dusty, an orange oil character I think is the Amarillo. On the palate, nice and zesty with the spelt malt helping the rustic character. A bit of light honey sweetness, some bright citrus, lots of grassy, herbal, lightly floral notes, very softly spiced, nice helping of barnyard wet hay. Dries out quite quickly, dusty though not too mineral, fruit carries on a bit and the herbal/grassy nature really builds. Moderate hop bitterness builds at the end, totally dry finish, lingering bitter aftertaste. Light-medium body, carb high but pretty soft. This is a hoppy saison but not an American farmhouse despite the hop choice. Nice old world feel, rustic, bright and refreshing, quite flavourful. Very good stuff.
