3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Has a slightly beige, stable head, with a murky brown, cherry red color.
Smells of spicy, sweeter malts, with citraic and floral notes to it, along with clove, sharp pepper and nutmeg. On top of that settles a slightly fermented cherry fruitiness, complimenting to the spices.
Begins with a noteable metallic carbonation, toffeeish malts and peppery spices. Tastes actually much dryer than expected, the brew got a decent bitter, semi-dry hoppiness to it, providing a unique approach for this being a christmas beer. Not actually particularly sweet, but well balanced, due to many typical Saison aspects. Dough, slightly funky yeast among a crisp dryness, with hints of fruit to add depth to the taste. Finishes heavy on the spices, peppery, with a lot of cloves visible and bready malts.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Foamy dark white fading head showing off an orange-copper colour with some opalescence. Aromas of brown sugared bready malts with notes of lime predominate but also hints of moor-aromas, wet leather and sweet apple arise. Lightly carbonated the beer is somewhat effervescent/tangy with a light-medium body. The flavours offer some fruity acidity supported by some juicy sweet bready herb-maltyness. Well balanced and the finish is well lasting offering a good balance of sweet-sour-light bitterness. A good winterwarmer.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
"year and a half old bottle, which had been stored on it’s side given the sediment permanently etched there. the 750 bottle gushed so much that i had 9 ounces left to drink when all was said and done. everything was ok - not spoiled - but nothing stood out. fruity spice, maybe a little more tart apple than the norm in belgian ales. some dry yeast. medium bodied with a bit too much prickly carbonation. obviously a bottle not in it’s prime, but it’s what was available..."

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Christmas Moneuse, with off-white, sticky, rocky head (caught after long-lasting gushing) and deep amber colour with somewhat brownish hue, hazy with calm sparkling. Appetizing aroma of leafy hops, apple, pineapple, cumin, ginger, sweet red curry, liquorice, cinnamon, peach, hay, bitter honey, white pepper, grapefruit. Fresh fruity taste, sourish citrus touch, vague sweetness, subtle candi, supple and soft mouthfeel, light spiciness, earthy, long sticky hop bitterness. Another great Blaugies saison.
