Brown with a red hue, this beer smell like a damp cellar. It also has a distictive wet hay aroma. Pours with a huge head and the bottle is slow gushing right now. Taste is spicy and mouthfeel is realy dry. Carbonation is high and totally appropriate to me. An OK beer overall, nothing too fancy though.

Foamy dark white fading head showing off an orange-copper colour with some opalescence. Aromas of brown sugared bready malts with notes of lime predominate but also hints of moor-aromas, wet leather and sweet apple arise. Lightly carbonated the beer is somewhat effervescent/tangy with a light-medium body. The flavours offer some fruity acidity supported by some juicy sweet bready herb-maltyness. Well balanced and the finish is well lasting offering a good balance of sweet-sour-light bitterness. A good winterwarmer.

"year and a half old bottle, which had been stored on its side given the sediment permanently etched there. the 750 bottle gushed so much that i had 9 ounces left to drink when all was said and done. everything was ok - not spoiled - but nothing stood out. fruity spice, maybe a little more tart apple than the norm in belgian ales. some dry yeast. medium bodied with a bit too much prickly carbonation. obviously a bottle not in its prime, but its what was available..."

Bottle shared at the chriso May 2014 tasting - London. Gusher! Pours hazy amber with a creamy, white head. The nose is heavy with yeasty bread and light fruit tones. Medium sweet flavor, bready, with some candi sugars and Belgian yeast. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderately sweet to finish with Belgian yeast, toffee, fruit. Tasty but somewhat basic.

Alengrin (2324) - BELGIUM - AUG 27, 2014
Christmas Moneuse, with off-white, sticky, rocky head (caught after long-lasting gushing) and deep amber colour with somewhat brownish hue, hazy with calm sparkling. Appetizing aroma of leafy hops, apple, pineapple, cumin, ginger, sweet red curry, liquorice, cinnamon, peach, hay, bitter honey, white pepper, grapefruit. Fresh fruity taste, sourish citrus touch, vague sweetness, subtle candi, supple and soft mouthfeel, light spiciness, earthy, long sticky hop bitterness. Another great Blaugies saison.

Bottle from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Hazy brown. Bubbly, off white head. Slow gusher, this. Granary bread maltiness. Ripe plum. Light, brown sugar. Taste is fruity dry. Light bitter. Soft, sugary palate. Finish has a brled bitterness. Very nice. Even in the middle of Summer...

750 ml bottle. Pours a dark murky brown colour with a large foamy head. Aroma of sweet malts, caramel and heavy pepper notes. Flavour of caramel, bread, grass, mild citrusy notes, Belgian yeast and some chocolate. Medium bodied and a foamy mouthfeel. Not as complex as their other beers but still enjoyable.

Bottle at Chriso. Gusher. It pours murky amber with a small light tan head. The nose is toasty, earth, spice, dried fruits, fruit cake, muffin and candy. The taste is crisp, foamy, brown bread, spice, fruit cake, earth, toast and hay with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body, very high carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Carbonation is far too high unfortunately...
