COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
La Moneuse is named for A. J. Moneuse (b. 1768), a famous local bandit and gang leader, and ancestor of the brewers’ family. It is a classic "saison" beer by virtue of its strength and its earthy, aged quality. It has a hardy, semi-dry malt character, a fresh but not overpowering hoppiness, abundant yeasty, fruity flavors and a fairly strong, but pleasant and enticing mustiness.

Shining amber body with, depending in the amount of yeast poured, clear to misty body. Fruity aroma, more so than most beers nowadays called Saison. Also has farmy yeast, French bread, some darker grains. Quite a crisp body, helped by the heavy carbonation. I think this would age and improve greatly, as there’s not much hop but a superb body, rustic and full of potential. In all honestly it’s far from the collaboration they did with Hill Farmstead, but then again, that way my favourite beer of 2014. This is still great. (75cl bottle from Bière Révolution)

Nice hazy dark golden color with a fine off white head that last. Good lacing. Some yeast, banana and wheat. Nice smooth body with a fine carbonation that made it easy to drink. Was worried that it was a bit to high carbonation because the enormous head. But it was very pleasant to drink. Moderate sweet and an ok bitterness. Somehow it felt like a hefe weisse. Lovely balanced flavor with some yeast, mild banana, whaetish and mild spiced. Really lovely ale.

Pours cloudy amber with very tall, frothy off-white head. Aroma of grass, light bretta, elderflower, citrus fruits, light honey and herbs. Taste is initial light sour and fresh followed by a spicy and peppery sweet finish. Body is light and smooth with soft carbonation.

Fruity taste and aroma, with lots of "Belgique" yeast and flavor. Hints of peppermint candy cane. Very enjoyable.
